Incredibly Simple Chicken and Ham Lasagne recipe

Yes, yes, we know that many of you are now wondering, how can lasagne be easy to make. And we can assure you, it can be a very simple task even for a beginner. We prepared you a very detailed dinner recipe so you wouldn‘t miss anything. And, as we say, less talking, more action, so let‘s begin making this amazing and simple lasagne!


  • 6 chicken breasts without bones and skins (about 700 g)
  • 0.5 finely chopped middle-size onions
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 200 ml white wine
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g flour
  • 500 ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 140 g smoked ham (cut in strips)
  • 200 g baby spinach leaves
  • 20 lasagne sheets
  • 200 g grated mozzarella
  • 25 g grated parmesan


Place chicken breasts, onion and bay leaves in a middle-size saucepan. Pour the wine. Add as much water as needed to cover all the ingredients in the saucepan (should be about 200 milliliters). Place the saucepan over the heat and bring to the boil. Let it simmer for 15 minutes until the chicken is cooked. Transfer the chicken onto a cutting board and the liquid into a separate bowl or cup.

Melt the butter in a separate saucepan over the medium heat. Stir in flour and heat for about a minute. Gradually pour the milk while constantly stirring. Then add the liquid where the chicken was boiling in and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add spices to taste.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Cut the chicken into small pieces and transfer to the saucepan. Add ham and spinach leaves and cook until spinach leaves soften.

Place a third of the chicken in a big lasagne baking dish (about 26 x 18 centimeters or 3 litres). Then arrange a third of lasagne sheets on top of the meat. Repeat layers. Top layer should be lasagne sheets.

Sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan. Season with black pepper. Cook for about 25 minutes in the oven. The top of lasagne should nicely brown and soften.
