Super Delicious Chocolate Fondant recipe

Looking at the photos and knowing that you wonít get enough of that even if you made a ton of it. This is the most precise definition of Chocolate Fondant I could come up with. Even though, the name is French and all the names of foods in French sound fancy and difficult to make, Chocolate Fondant is actually very simple and quick dessert to prepare. We have made a detailed recipe for you!

  • 100g good-quality dark chocolate (about 85% of cocoa)
  • 100g butter
  • 2 eggs, large
  • 3-5 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Cocoa powder

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Smear pudding moulds with butter and place in your refrigerator for about 10 minutes for butter to firm up. Butter the moulds one more time, dust with cocoa powder. Transfer to the fridge while youíre making the fondant mixture.

Place a bowl over a pan of simmering water. Melt the chocolate and butter in the bowl.

While chocolate and butter are melting, in a separate bowl, whisk egg whites, egg yolks and powdered sugar. Whisk until thick and pale.

Remove the bowl of melted chocolate and butter from the heat and stir until smooth. Set aside to cool for about 8-12 minutes.† Pour melted chocolate to the egg mixture. Add flour. Stir with hands carefully.

Divide this mass between the pudding moulds. Donít fill the moulds fully because the mass will rise while baking in the oven, make sure you leave some room for that. Cook in the oven for about 7-8 minutes until the top of fondants form a crust.
